Disney Upends Their Release Slate
With the possibility of a strike by the Screen Actors Guild on the horizon, Disney has taken the precautionary measure of shifting their release calendar. Of note, some of these delays do line up with a leak from earlier this year and there are a few gaps. Here are the new release dates in order:
- Deadpool 3: May 3rd, 2024
- Captain America: Brave New World: July 26th, 2024
- The Thunderbolts: December 20th, 2024
- Blade: February 14th, 2025
- Fantastic Four: May 2nd, 2025
- Avatar 3: December 19th, 2025
- Avengers: The Kang Dynasty: May 1st, 2026
- Untitled Star Wars Movie: May 22nd, 2026
- Untitled Star Wars Movie: December 18th, 2026
- Avengers: Secret Wars: May 7th, 2027
- Avatar 4: December 21st, 2029
- Avatar 5: December 19th, 2031
There are a few untitled Marvel movies on the schedule, namely on July 25th, 2025 and November 7th, 2025. Of note as well the previously untitled Disney movie on August 16th, 2024 has been relabeled "Untitled Alien Event Movie" and notes it is a 20th Century production so this will be the new entry in the Alien franchise and the Untitled Disney Movie slated for July 2nd, 2025 has been updated to be Moana, the live-action remake of the 2016 film, and has been moved to June 27th, 2025.
