One of the things that really works about X-Men '97 is that it not only looks exactly like a television show that would have aired in the 90s on a Saturday morning but it also nails the tone and narrative aesthetics. The idea of Mojo capturing Jubilee and putting her into a video game of his own design is such a fun concept that allows for Jubilee to explore her character and have a little growth is a great use of the episode. The visuals of the video game also manage to nail the late-90s pixel art aesthetic perfectly without leaning into doing the standard 8-bit look that has become the shorthand for retro video games.
