Jennifer Garner To Reprise Her Role As Elektra In Deadpool 3
Amid months of speculation about the multiversal nature of Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3, there is finally confirmation that one member of the old Fox universe will be reprising their role alongside Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool. For the first time since 2005's Elektra, Jennifer Garner will be returning in Deadpool 3 for what will probably be the last time.
Jennifer Garner is the first cast member to be confirmed to return, however, early reports indicate that it will be a who's who of the old Fox movies featuring returns from the likes of Halle Berry as Storm, Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, James Marsden as Scott Summers, and Ian McKellen as Magneto. According to these same reports, it appears that Earth-838 will be a major focus of this movie and will deal with the fallout of the murder of the Illuminati in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with appearances from Tom Hiddleston's Loki and Owen Wilson's Mobius from Loki. Time will tell what the movie actually has in it but this is shaping up to be a send-off to the Fox Universe that's existed in various forms since 2000 in the same way Spider-Man: No Way Home was a send-off too the various Sony Spider-Men from the past.
Deadpool 3 is currently slated for release on May 3rd, 2023, and it is worth noting that on Disney's official release slate lists it as "Untitled Deadpool Movie" so it may get a title change in the near future.
