Marvel Releases Trailer For Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

The first trailer for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has been released!

With What If...? coming to an end today, Marvel Animation has released the first trailer for their next show Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Check it out below:

You may recall this show was originally announced as part of Disney+ Day under the title Spider-Man: Freshman Year, and was meant to be an origin story for Tom Holland's Peter Parker. This has been revamped to be a "What If...?" story in its own right and will tell a Spider-Man origin story similar to MCU Peter Parker but with Norman Osborne serving in the mentor role occupied by Tony Stark starting in Captain America: Civil War.

I really have two thoughts on this show. One, this probably could have been backdoor piloted out of What If...? considering how it is different from the existing MCU canon yet still fits the bill for a standard alternate timeline story. Looking at the art style, I see why they didn't do it in What If...? but it would have been an interesting start. Two, the art style is fantastic. It looks ripped directly from a comic book with an interesting blend of 2D and 3D animation which sets this apart from the other entries from Marvel Animation so far.
