Bad Boys: Ride or Die as a movie exists in a strange space. Beyond the fact that it should be named Bad Boys For Life (the title of the 3rd movie), there are aspects of the film that place it among some of the best action comedies and there are aspects that are just baffling.
Without spoiling (the spoilers are plentiful in the podcast) the actual procedural narrative that drives the plot kind of treats the audience like they're either dumb or have never seen a movie before and uses leaps in logic that make little to no sense. That said, stylistically, the movie takes some risks and a lot of them pay off visually. The good definitely outweighs the bad and does make for a worthwhile theatrical experience. That said, long-time fans of the franchise will almost certainly enjoy it more than people coming in blind.
