Venom 3 Gets A New Title And Release Date
The untitled Venom 3 is now Venom: The Last Dance, with a release date of October 25, 2024.
The previously untitled Venom 3 has had both a title change and a release date shift. The movie will now release on October 25th, 2024 instead of November 8th, 2024 and will be titled Venom: The Last Dance. Interestingly, the film is the last of Sony's Spider-Man-adjacent movie to have a release date and there are currently no films in this universe of villains known to be in development. Could The Last Dance also refer to the fact that this movie is the end of Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters?
Interestingly this also shifts the release window for Joker: Folie a Deux. DC's only release theatrically in 2024 now only has three weeks without another major release (arguably Smile 2 could bite into it) and the Venom movies make money regardless of quality. This could speak to Sony's confidence in the title.
Venom: The Last Dance is directed by Kelly Marcel in her directorial debut and will star Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor alongside Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock/Venom. Plot details are unknown at this time.
