One of the biggest announcements to come from the June 2023 Nintendo Direct was the imminent launch of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. This game is a return to the 2D platforming genre for Mario for the first time (as an original game) in the Switch generation and features new reality-warping Wonder Flowers that alter the level in trippy and psychedelic ways. On top of Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad as playable characters, Daisy will also be playable in this game.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder comes out on October 20th, 2023.
